The wifi extender is working as expected and is of good build quality. And got it for a very good price at canada computers.

I tried to set this up without using WPS, as where it's being installed, I may not have access to the modem. Took a little of bit and trial and error. Easiest way I found is go to 192.168.0.50 once you are connected to this device's WiFi. The other hangup is that it named the extended Wi-Fi network the same as the host Wi-Fi SSID which is just a weird default! After that I got 400Mbps through the extended network.
